Robert Pipkin
It only takes one person to make a difference in a life. I decided a long time ago to become that person for other kids like myself. Kids who are written off because of how they look, where they live, or tolerated because they have a special gift that can be exploited to advance other peoples agendas.
In spite of the naysayers, I earned my Bachelors in Elementary Education, my Master in Education Administration, a letter of eligibility for superintendent and completed all course work for his Ph.D. at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, PA to prove them ALL wrong. I was not who they said I was, " just another dumb jock". I stand here today as proof that you should never give up on yourself, no matter what circumstances you find yourself in. I found out a while back, that it is the adversity that prepares us for our future. It is just a test. Telling my story is painful, but true. If I can do it , you can too.
